General Plumbing & Hot Water Systems in Droitwich

We handle general plumbing and hot water work across Droitwich, Worcester and the wider Worcestershire area - leaks, cylinders, bathrooms, pipework and everything in between. We're CIPHE members and G3 qualified for unvented hot water systems, so the technical and safety side is covered properly.

Being a heating firm as well as a plumbing one means we understand the whole system rather than just the bit that's leaking. Hot water problems are often heating problems, and vice versa.

Plumbing Repairs & Emergencies

If you've got water where it shouldn't be, you can call us now on 07511 233641. In the meantime, find your stopcock and turn the water off... it's usually under the kitchen sink or where the mains enters the property. It's worth knowing where yours is before you need it.

  • Burst and leaking pipes
  • Leaking taps, valves and joints
  • Blocked sinks, baths and toilets
  • Toilet faults - running, not flushing, leaking at the base
  • Low or fluctuating water pressure
  • No hot water
  • Frozen or burst pipes in cold weather
  • Leaking hot water cylinders

If you're unsure which side of the line you're on, we'll tell you honestly. We'd rather repair a boiler that has years left in it than sell a replacement that isn't needed.

Unvented Hot Water Cylinders

An unvented cylinder stores hot water at mains pressure, which means strong flow at every outlet and no tank in the loft. It's the standard choice for modern homes with more than one bathroom, and it's what we fit alongside most system boiler and heat pump installations.

We install, service and repair unvented cylinders across Worcestershire - replacements for failed units, upgrades from old vented systems, and new installations as part of a wider heating project.

Signs Your Cylinder Needs Replacing

  • Water discharging from the outside pipe (the tundish overflow)
  • Hot water running out much faster than it used to
  • Visible corrosion, staining or damp around the base
  • Noises from the cylinder during heating
  • It's over 15–20 years old and has never been serviced
  • Pressure that's dropped noticeably at the taps

What G3 Qualification Means

Unvented cylinders store water under pressure, which makes them a genuine safety concern if installed or maintained incorrectly. Working on them requires a G3 qualification under Building Regulations - it isn't optional, and it isn't something a general plumber can legally do without it. We hold it. Installations are notified, and the safety devices - expansion vessel, pressure relief and temperature relief valves - are commissioned and checked properly.

General Plumbing Work

  • Outside taps and garden supplies
  • Washing machine and dishwasher connections
  • Radiator moves, additions and removals
  • Pipework alterations for kitchen and building work
  • Stopcock and valve replacement
  • Water softener installation
  • Powerflushing and system cleaning
  • Immersion heater replacement
  • Landlord and pre-purchase plumbing checks

If it involves water or heating and it isn't on the list, ask - it's very likely something we do.

Why Use a CIPHE Registered Plumber?

Plumbing, unlike gas work, isn't legally regulated in the UK - anyone can describe themselves as a plumber. The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering is the industry's professional body, and membership requires demonstrated competence and adherence to a code of conduct. It's less common among small local firms than you'd expect, and combined with our Gas Safe registration and G3 qualification it means the work is covered properly whether it's a dripping tap or a pressurised cylinder.
